Throughout the series similarities have been drawn between Star Driver and The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry which can be read at http://home.pacific.net.hk/~rebylee/text/prince/contents.html .

Enokido: Later, when I was thinking up another “Galactic Pretty Boy”-like phrase, I was suddenly reminded of Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince.” It was a story that had a simply sparkling world, and also words like “star / galaxy” and “prince / pretty boy” have really similar feels somehow (lol). So, that’s why “apprivoise” was the word that established the naming motif. [Note: the Little Prince is called "The Prince of the Stars" in Japanese]
Each of the Crux sections correspond to one of the people the Little Prince meets on his journey across the galaxy to earth.
1. The King – Emperor (Sugata)
2. The Conceited Man – Vanishing Age (see the three idiots)
3. The Drunkard – Bougainvilleae (headed by none other than Ivrogne)
4. The Businessman – Adult Bank
5. The Lamplighter – Filament (“The glow in the light of hope is us at Filament”)
6. The Geographer – Science Guild
At one point the prince meets a small fox, who teaches him the following:
"Tu es responsable pour toujours de ce que tu as apprivoisé."
”You are forever responsible for that which you have tamed.”
This is likely the source of the phrase Apprivoise used throughout the Star Driver series.
It is very likely that the Vice President is a representation of this fox.
The drama club takes its name from another novel by Saint-Exupéry, Night Flight.
